We all have different ways of relieving stress, and hobbies are by far a good way to unwind. They allow our minds to get immersed in a project that takes us away from any stressful situation. I love to knit and crochet, but a new craze has flooded North America and its all the rage. What is it? Adult Coloring Books!
Peter Pauper is always up on trends, and they offer a delightful selection of Adult Coloring books. I have lots of coloring books and crayons for little family members, but I confess I enjoy coloring with them. It’s relaxing and allows you to be creative.
Each coloring book has 31 stress relieving designs that are on single pages, as opposed to back to back. So, you have the option of framing them if you wish. The Blooms, Birds, & Butterflies has several different birds, peacocks, hummingbirds, owls, flamingos and more. There’s lots of flowers, butterflies and even bug designs included. Many of the images incorporate all three in one image. How fun! The Doodle Designs offers some funky and far out images that are waiting for your artistic touch.
I love the Dragons coloring book, it has lots of fire-breathing and mystical creatures that take you into the realm of fantasy. All the images have detailed line work that requires precision coloring. The Christmas Designs book is full of festive images that give you that holly jolly feeling. Some of the designs have a black background that makes all our colors pop out. You’ll need to get some sharp pencil crayons to fill in the intricate details of each design.
Coloring is an art based therapy. It’s a tool to get us into that zen space, so we have the freedom to shut down and just be present. It’s like a healing meditation if you will which totally calms you down. I love it and encourage people I know to color. Swing by Peter Pauper and check all their other coloring book designs.
