Have you ever noticed that the business’s you frequent the most, have the friendliest and most courteous staff? We seem to intuitively return to stores where we feel like a valued customer. Being greeted with a warm smile and a pleasant manner is incentive enough to return, and companies want repeat customers. Sometimes it’s not so much about the dollar as it is about being appreciated and respected. I will spread the word about these establishments and I also appreciate hearing about other companies that have fabulous service.
Along that thought, I recently heard about the Telus Grand Gesture campaign. Telus is a well known telecommunications company in Canada that provides a wide range of products and services. They care about communities and people, and listen conscientiously to their feedback. Their customers are top priority and believe that a simple thank you can go a very long way. With this in mind, Telus has done something most companies wouldn’t do. They gone out of their way to make a customer’s dream come true.

Telus Grand Gestures Video
Ramona’s surprise was just the beginning. The TELUS Care-a-Van team is rolling into town this week with a host of events and activities that will be taking place all week long to specially thank TELUS local customers and the Guelph community.
**TELUS is literally performing everyday acts of caring all over the Guelph community throughout the week. As part of this, we’re donating $5 to the Guelph Children’s Foundation for every use of #actsofcaring.
**We’re going door to door to the homes of our top 100 customers to thank them personally with a care package – a small token of our appreciation.
**We’re hosting a free BBQ lunch for our top 1000 customers and their families at the local TELUS store. We’ll be presenting a cheque to the Guelph Children’s Foundation in the amount of $5000 – in response to all the uses of #actsofcaring. Donald Woodley (member of TELUS Board of Directors) will join our celebration to present the cheque.
What a wonderful display of #actsofcaring TELUS has shown the Guelph community. It’s so heartwarming to see a company work so hard for their customers! I applaud them for exemplary customer service!!
