Real Steel is a near future science fiction movie about robot boxing. Charlie Kenton is an ex boxer that was determined to make in the world of robot fighting. After loosing several fights and lots of money he’s on the brink of beyond bankruptcy.
A sad twist of fate lands him money and a 11 year old son he doesn’t know. Together they bond while they manage to resurrect a second generation robot to become the people’s champion. It’s a heart warming story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It’s great family entertainment.
The kids in my family love to watch movies and this movie captured their attention. They were very excited about these huge robots boxing and were rooting for Charlies robot to win. They really got emotional and were very sad when the robot was destroyed by a bull and were hoping it could be fixed. When Max come on the scene and dug up an old Robot and restored it, the kids and my husband were cheering that they got it working. When Atom (the robot) was a contender, the kids would get involved and shadow box trying to help him out. They got really animated and were swing punches left and right wishing Zeus would be knocked out for good. Atom is an endearing robot and you can’t help but love him. Everyone cheered in the end because Atom was the people’s champ and my families champ. It’s been watched several more times since.
